ACER ICONIA W3- THE FIRST WINDOWS 8 TABLET

Acer Iconia W3 which was lauched this week at Asia's largest computer show was the first of it's kind. The tablet is the first 8-inch tablet to support the all windows app and pre-installed with microsoft office Home 2013 suite.
 The windows 8 tablet is powered by a 1.8GHZ dual core Z2760 intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB and 64GB storage capacity, a front and rear 2 mega-pixel cameras. It has a 1280*800 pixel, 8 inch screen, a 540g weight bundled in a 0.45 inch thick chasis and also posses a micro-HDMI output to allow connection to a Tv and/or a monitor.

 
A keyboard and a mouse can be connected to it to make a laptop and enable easy use and running of all window apps. With the Acer Iconia W3, you have both a tablet and a laptop and is set to hit the market this month at an expected retail price of $329 and $379 for the 32GB and 64GB storage capacity respectively.

I would be unveiling the process involved in creating a wifi hotspot without the use of a third-party software in windows 7 PC.         A wi-fi service has the advantage of granting easy sharing of a certain internet connection with other mobile devices (blackberry, iphone, tablets, android, etc) that are wifi enabled.

STEPS  TAKEN  IN CREATING  A  WI-FI  HOTSPOT  IN  WINDOWS  7

ð  With your mouse, locate the windows taskbar

ð  Locate the wifi/network signal icon on the task bar and click on it

ð  Click on open and network sharing center

ð  From the lists chose set up a new connection or network

ð  A pop-up window would be revealed in which you can choose a network option

ð  From the list chose the “set up a wireless ad-hoc(Computer-to- computer network)

ð  A pop-up window which entails blanks for your network name, security options and a security key(password)

ð  After inputting the above details, tick the "save this network" box and then click on the NEXT button

ð  A pop-up window would display a ready to use wifi connection. To make your computer a perfect wifi hotspot it’s required you turn on the internet connection sharing.

Now, your hotspot is ready for use, once an internet connection is available, you can search and connect  any wifi enabled device to your computer system.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD, INSTALL AND CONFIGURE WHATSAPP ON YOUR PERSONAL COMPUTER (PC)

I would be discussing about running mobile apps such as whatsapp on pc and I specially want to dedicate it to those who possess a PC and a non-supporting whatsapp phone and more so those who could not benefit from my previous post- INSTALL WHATSAPP ON ALL NOKIA S40 (JAVA) PHONES AND KEEP IN TOUCH WITH FRIENDS                 

With whatsapp been a popular mobile app that aids individuals to keep in touch with their loved ones through text messages with its free sms plans. 

REQUIREMENTS

ð  Personal  computer ( MAC or WINDOWS OS)

ð  Minimum of 1GB RAM size for youwave & 2GB for bluestacks

ð  Minimum of 500MB disk space

ð  Bluestacks / Youwave

ð  Internet connection

ð  A working phone that can receive both sms and phone calls

HOW TO INSTALL WHATSAPP ON PC USING BLUESTACKS

First and foremost it is required you download Bluestacks application which I wrote on in one of my previous posts- RUN ANDROID APPLICATIONS ON WINDOWS AND MAC PC

. Once bluestacks is downloaded, next is to install by double clicking on the file- a welcome screen would be displayed, click on the CONTINUE button and then the INSTALL button.

When you have bluestack installed in your computer already, you can run/execute the application and the below screen-shot would be displayed on your screen.

Then

ð  Locate the right top of the application and click on the search icon (blue magnifying glass and a search window display

ð  Input “whatsapp”  without the inverted comma’s into the search window and search by clicking on the find button.

ð  Amongst the search results click on whatsapp messenger and it will download and install your desired whatsapp application

ð  Go to My Apps and locate whatsapp and click on it to run

N.B – These approach can also be used in installing other mobile apps on pc.

HOW TO INSTALL WHATSAPP ON PC USING YOUWAVE

ð  Download  Youwave or http://youwave.com/download.html   and install.

ð  Run/execute  youwave application

ð  Locate the left top panel and click on view

ð  From its drop-down menu click on online content and it will display online apps

ð  Locate whatsapp and double click on it for it to download and install

ð  Go to view on the top left panel and click on Apps

ð  Double click on whatsapp icon to launch

HOW TO CONFIGURE WHATSAPP ON PC

ð  Select your Country

ð  Confirm your Country code, input your phone number and click on verify

ð  Number would be verified by either sms or phone call if sms failed and a verification pin would be given.

ð  Input your verification pin on the available box

ð  After the verification of your number another blank box would appear, insert your desired username and click ok

Now you can keep in touch with family and friends as you discuss matters of the heart.

ENABLE THE HIBERNATE OPTION IN WINDOWS 8

unlike windows 7 that has the hibernation option exhibited at the
shut-down power options, windows 8 has not, although it is enabled,
it's hidden by default on the new Metro style power menu.
This tip am to show off is in two methods: 1. To hibernate using the
command prompt.
2. To add the hibernate option to the shut-down power option.

Fistly, using the command prompt , you
can hibernate by typing in
shutdown.exe -h

Lastly, to display
the Hibernate option next to
the Sleep, Shutdown and
Restart options. Steps are:
=> Open the Start
Screen and type in
powercfg.cpl and
click the Enter key.
=> On the Power
Options screen,
select choose what
the power buttons do
on the side menu.
=> Select Change
settings that are
currently
unavailable.
=> Scroll to the bottom
of the window and
tick Hibernate.
=> Click Save changes.
Now your Power
menu will also have a
hibernate option listed amongst others.

How to remove password from windows xp

So many a times we tend to forget our passwords used on our personal
computer, most times this occur because we make use of different
passwords on our gadgets and sites.
What i want to unveil today was a little trick i learnt from a friend
, i gave it a trial and it worked. It is a very simple trick of
bypassing your passworded windows xp.
WARNINGS:
Use this information in a responsible manner. Do not use on computers
you are not authorized to use. Etechvilla is not responsible for
anything you may or may not do with this.
Steps taken-
1. Boot up your windows xp system and the password input box would pop up.
2. Click on the input box and press this three keys simultaneously-
ctrl, alt & delete.
3. Pressing those keys simultaneously will take you to an advanced
password menu.
Erase whatever is written in both the username and password, then
insert ADMINISTRATOR or Admin into the username, leave the password
empty and then log in. (some windows uses capslock while some use
small letters)
4. After gaining access into the desktop view, you can go to the
control panel => user accounts and remove password from the passworded
account.
5. You can decide to restart the computer and re-login to the account.
