With the advance in technology, great data recovery software are available that could fetch out those files that you think can not be found or have been deleted?. When, you hit the delete key on a selected file, windows explorer moves the selected file to the recycle bin. The recycle bin has a certain amount of harddisk space that is allocated to it and this depends on the size of your hard disk. The size of the recycle bin can be altered by it's users to either increase it or decrease it. That means those files that seems to erased when the delete button is tapped are deleted from the windows explorer but still resides in the hard disk.
There are two known ways of erasing unwanted files from your computer system which are
1. Selecting the unwanted file and hit the delete key. This helps in temporarily moving the file to the recycle bin from where it could be recovered/restored to its original location if later needed. As more files are moved into the recycle bin, it gradually fills up to the reserved space allocated to it and overwrites other deleted files to create space for new ones. The recycle bin can be emptied and when this happens the deleted files can no longer be restored back to its original location on windows explorer.
2. Selecting the unwanted file, hit the delete key while you hold the shift key erases the selected file from the windows explorer without temporarily moving it to the recycle bin.
This 2 process are commonly known to be a permanent way of erasing unwanted files from the computer but it is only a process whereby files are hidden in the hard disk where it can not be accessed through the operating system but can only be restored through the aid of some special recovery softwares.
