With the popularity facebook has gained, been known as the
world’s largest social network and it’s frequent photo uploads, status updates,
comments on status updates and likes that comes more often from mobile devices.
The interest of unveiling a smart phone
that would have it’s social network activities on the core parts of a mobile
device and thereby making it easier to carry out facebook services.
Facebook is set to reveal it’s own smart phone which will
display it’s social network and rumors say the smart phone is to make use of
the Google’s Android platform and be manufactured by HTC.
In the year 2011, INQ Social mobile unveiled a phone that
had most facebook’s services integrated into the home screen- INQ CLOUD TOUCH,
and after bagging awards for “The best value phone”; “Best Social Networking
Handset” and “Best Android Phone” for the year 2011 at the mobile choice
consumer awards but made limited progress and got frustrated off the market by
the present world’s largest smart phone manufacturer, Samsung mobile.
The California based social network company has between the
year 2011 and present added some amazing features such as the facebook
messenger, that allows free text messaging and free voice calls; camera apps
that also aids in tagging and uploading photos directly to facebook and also
the poke app- a private messaging service. The social networking company has
been advised by Mr Meehan to work hard on introducing better apps that could increase
it’s social network activities and well embedded into the Android and IOS
platforms instead of revealing an HTC android phone with its social services
integrated on it.

Zuckerberg but some factors should be considered such as the success of the
product in the midst of Samsung and apple products and the choice of the
consumers. Telecommunication analyst, Jan Dawson said at ovum that the concept
was a solution to a non-existing problem.
The Big Question is do we want a Facebook phone said gigaom.com? Why a
facebook phone when we are satisfied with the facebook apps?
